Diwali (October–November): clarity season
Post-monsoon air makes this the best-views window of the year. Kuari Pass delivers Nanda Devi front and centre; Har Ki Dun gives you golden village valleys; Chopta-Chandrashila packs a summit into a long weekend. Book 6–8 weeks ahead — these dates are the year's most contested.
New Year (late December): snow season
Welcoming January 1st from a snowbound campsite is a bucket-list classic. Kedarkantha is the flagship (and our ₹4,999 winter offer makes it the value pick), Brahmatal is the quieter alternative, and Nag Tibba works if you only have the weekend itself.
Booking reality check
