Most Himalayan treks demand a week of leave. Nag Tibba asks for none: at 9,915 ft, the 'Serpent's Peak' near Mussoorie packs a genuine summit, a night under the stars and a 180° snow-peak panorama into a single weekend.
How the weekend actually flows
Our batches leave Dehradun early Saturday, drive past Mussoorie to Pantwari village, and climb 4 km through oak forest to base camp by evening — sunset over the Doon valley, bonfire, dinner, sleep. Sunday starts before dawn: summit for sunrise, with Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini and the Gangotri ranges lined up on the horizon, then descend and drive back by evening.
Who it's for
Absolute beginners, busy professionals testing whether trekking is 'their thing', and experienced trekkers keeping fit between big treks. At ₹3,499 with meals, camping and a guide included, it's also the cheapest way to find out how you handle altitude and cold before committing to a 6-day trek.
One honest caveat
The Sunday is long — a pre-dawn summit push plus a full descent plus the drive home. Sleep early on Saturday, carry a headlamp, and book the Monday-morning meeting for the afternoon if you can.
