We don't recommend Everest Base Camp in July. The trail is at its best in Mar, Apr, May, Sep, Oct, Nov — and there are better options this month (listed below). The trek runs 15 days from Khumbu, Everest Region, reaching 17,598 ft at its highest point, and is graded Moderate-Difficult (5/5). The fee is ₹1,35,000 + 5% GST with permits, meals, camping and certified trek leaders included.
Weather & trail conditions in July
Rain is a daily companion on most Himalayan trails in these months — expect slippery descents, leeches in the forest sections and occasional roadblocks on the drives. Only monsoon-suitable trails should be attempted. On Everest Base Camp, expect daytime temperatures around 15°C on the trail and roughly 3°C at the highest camps after dark in July.
