We don't recommend Manaslu Circuit in January. The trail is at its best in Mar, Apr, May, Sep, Oct, Nov — and there are better options this month (listed below). The trek runs 16 days from Gorkha, Manaslu Region, reaching 16,930 ft at its highest point, and is graded Difficult (5/5). The fee is ₹1,05,000 + 5% GST with permits, meals, camping and certified trek leaders included.

Weather & trail conditions in January

Expect snow on the upper sections of the trail and frozen water sources near camps. Micro-spikes and gaiters (provided on our snow treks) become essential above the snowline, and daylight hours are short — days start early and end early. On Manaslu Circuit, expect daytime temperatures around 5°C on the trail and roughly -13°C at the highest camps after dark in January.
