We don't recommend Miyar Valley in January. The trail is at its best in Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep — and there are better options this month (listed below). The trek runs 7 days from Udaipur, Lahaul, reaching 13,800 ft at its highest point, and is graded Moderate-Difficult (4/5). The fee is ₹15,999 + 5% GST with permits, meals, camping and certified trek leaders included.

Weather & trail conditions in January

Expect snow on the upper sections of the trail and frozen water sources near camps. Micro-spikes and gaiters (provided on our snow treks) become essential above the snowline, and daylight hours are short — days start early and end early.
