Nag Tibba Trek in August
Weather, temperatures, packing and honest advice — from the team that runs this trail.
The quick answer
We don't recommend Nag Tibba in August. The trail is at its best in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr — and there are better options this month (listed below). The trek runs 2 days from Pantwari, Tehri Garhwal, reaching 9,915 ft at its highest point, and is graded Easy (1/5). The fee is ₹3,499 + 5% GST with permits, meals, camping and certified trek leaders included.
Why not this month: July–August monsoon means mud, leeches and zero views; May–June afternoons get hot and hazy on the lower trail, though early starts still work.
