We don't recommend Deoban in July. The trail is at its best in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr — and there are better options this month (listed below). The trek runs 3 days from Chakrata, Dehradun, reaching 9,514 ft at its highest point, and is graded Easy (1/5). Weather & trail conditions in July
Rain is a daily companion on most Himalayan trails in these months — expect slippery descents, leeches in the forest sections and occasional roadblocks on the drives. Only monsoon-suitable trails should be attempted. On Deoban, expect daytime temperatures around 21°C on the trail and roughly 12°C at the highest camps after dark in July.
