Rain is a daily companion on most Himalayan trails in these months — expect slippery descents, leeches in the forest sections and occasional roadblocks on the drives. Only monsoon-suitable trails should be attempted. On Green Lake, expect daytime temperatures around 15°C on the trail and roughly 3°C at the highest camps after dark in August.
