We don't recommend Sunderdhunga Glacier in February. The trail is at its best in May, Jun, Sep, Oct — and there are better options this month (listed below). The trek runs 9 days from Bageshwar, Kumaon, reaching 13,120 ft at its highest point, and is graded Difficult (5/5). The fee is ₹17,999 + 5% GST with permits, meals, camping and certified trek leaders included.
Weather & trail conditions in February
Expect snow on the upper sections of the trail and frozen water sources near camps. Micro-spikes and gaiters (provided on our snow treks) become essential above the snowline, and daylight hours are short — days start early and end early. On Sunderdhunga Glacier, expect daytime temperatures around 9°C on the trail and roughly -7°C at the highest camps after dark in February.
What to pack for February
