We don't recommend Hilley–Barsey in October. The trail is at its best in Mar, Apr, May — and there are better options this month (listed below). The monsoon washes the sky clean, leaving the sharpest mountain views of the year. Trails are dry, rivers settle down, and nights get progressively colder as winter approaches. On Hilley–Barsey, expect daytime temperatures around 16°C on the trail and roughly 4°C at the highest camps after dark in October.
